Arwa Farag, BDS, DMSc

Dr. Arwa Farag is an assistant professor at the Division of Oral Medicine, Department of Diagnostic Sciences, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) and the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences, Faculty of Dentistry, King Abdul Aziz University, Jeddah Saudi Arabia. Dr. Farag graduated from King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She completed her residency training in oral medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and earned her Doctorate of Medical Science Degree (DMSc) from Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She also completed her fellowship in TMD/orofacial pain at TUSDM. Dr. Farag is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Oral Medicine and the American Academy of Orofacial Pain. She is also a Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh. Dr. Farag has a clinical interest in early detection of oral cancer, management of oral manifestation of systemic disease, and treatment of complicated chronic orofacial pain cases. Her area of research focuses on immunology in which she was involved in several multicenter clinical trials and investigational studies in the USA and Europe. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain, the American Association of Dental Research, and the International Association of Dental Research.
